Before we start to learn android we should know more about what is android. Android is the operating system for mobile devices based on Linux and open-ended or with the OpenSource GNU license, which previously owned by Google Inc. Google bought Android.

In developing an application or building an android application, programming language should we learn is Java and XML, did not rule out other programming languages. Most of the developers or programmers create applications using Android in Eclipse and can download for free tis. Also Eclipse is also supported directly by Google to develop Android applications, but did not rule that we can use other IDE like Net Beans.

Android applications can be developed on the Operating System such as:
  • Mikocok Windows (XP, Vista and 7) (not recommended)
  • Mac OS (quite a lot of money who recommended)
  • Linux (is recommended)

In addition we must add the Eclipse IDE:
  • SDK (Software Development Kit)
  • ADT (Android Development Tools)

Now we will begin to install Eclipse as an IDE that we use in making android applications later, to download please go to the following link: http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/
but before you need to download JDK here
Version of the eclipse can we download Helios, Galileo or Ganymede. Quote me the make Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers and OS that I use is Ubuntu, and I put the downloaded in the directory / home / opt / eclipse. To launch eclipse you can click to eclipse that of type application.
