Samsung Exynos 5 Octa - 8 Core Processor for Galaxy S4


Not to be outdone by Qualcomm and Nvidia has launched a new processor, the Samsung introduced Exynos 5 Octa  processor  which is a 8-Core Processor or Octa-Core  first in the world at the event CES 2013.

Exynos 5 Octa processor is 8-core processor formerly known as big.LITTLE chip that could be implanted kitchen rumored to be Samsung Galaxy S4.

Exynos 5 Octa called chip big.LITTLE because it combines two processors in one chip architecture. Samsung Exynos 5 Octa consists of 4-core ARM Cortex-A15 are powerful as well as representing the word "big" for heavy duty work.

While the word LITTLE represented the remaining 4 core architecture using ARM Cortex-A7 processor known as power-efficient processors for light tasks. The concept is similar to the pattern used on the Tegra pattern that carries 4 +1 cores, while the Exynos 5 Octa is 4 +4 cores.

Samsung claims that the performance of the chip Exynos 5 Octa is 70 percent more efficient than quad-core Exynos previous series. Not only that, the president of Samsung claim Exynos 5 Octa presents a performance far more powerful than the previous series.

SamsungExynos 5 Octa processor is probably to Smartphone Samsung Galaxy S4, because there was no official confirmation of the Samsung.
